WhatIWantMost is a site for creating wishlists that you can easily share with your friends and family. Signing up for an account is free and easy. Once you are a member you can begin adding items to your wishlist, inviting friends and family to view your wishlist, and showing off your wishlist on your blog or web site.

The site started out as a personal project to allow me to work with some technologies that were a little outside of my day-to-day tookit. If you'd like, you can read the entire story of the development of this site on my blog.

While I had no preconceived intention of actually making the site a living, breathing thing when I first started the project, I realized at some point that it ought to be. After getting some friends and familty to help test the site I decided to go ahead and take it live.

This site is currently in "Alpha" stage. Why Alpha rather than Beta, you ask? Well, the main reason is that the site does not currently contain all the functionality that I had originally planned for the first release. However, it currently does all the main things you would expect a wishlist site to do and it seems to do them well. If you run into any problems, please let me know. If you think of some functionality that is missing but you feel should be in place, please let me know.

In the coming months I plan to implement the remaining items on my list and then officially call the site "Beta". After that I plan to further pursue public feedback to make the site better. At some undetermined point we (me and the site community) will decide the site is good enough to remove the beta moniker and then we'll just have to see what happens after that.
